Welcome to Round Room Ministries

Round Room Ministries was officially established in June 2024 by Melanie Salte in Edmonton, Alberta. However, the ministry of Round Room truly began a few years before that. After almost 20 years in volunteer and vocational worship ministry leadership, Melanie felt compelled to begin offering a space for worship ministry leaders to gather monthly in the Edmonton area. The first monthly worship pastor gathering was hosted on February 17, 2023. Alongside these monthly gatherings, Melanie began to offer courses, workshops and retreats teaching worship ministry volunteers Biblical foundations of worship and practical skills for playing with a worship team.

It became clear in the spring of 2024 that there was a need for more structure around what was happening. And so in June of 2024, Round Room Ministries was created as a ministry project under the Great Commission Foundation. 

Round Room Ministries exists to create opportunities for growth and collaboration in the worship arts community. We desire that every person would come alive in the gifts God has given them for the good of the church for the sake of the world. By providing consistent opportunities to engage with God through His Word and His community, we believe every worshipper can walk in humility and confidence, sharing the gifts of God with others.
